Genesis Revealed

So in February I got an itch. Something touched a nerve within my spirit. I was standing in church looking at the amounts of people worshiping, praying and seeking God and in that moment I thought to myself I haven't read the entire Bible that I profess to believe in for myself. Out of that birthed a challenge and a hunger. I came home and began to dive in and where better to start than the beginning. Can I tell you with choosing to read for my own knowledge, I have had such an open mind and a freedom to read as I please. It started with one chapter a day but, the itch grew to me wanting to stay longer in the word to where I had been reading three chapters a day. I just finished Genesis today and I wanted to share all the things that God brought to my attention again and in some cases, for the first time. Before I begin, I think it's important to note that interpretation is everything and so I wanted to let you know that I studied out of a Dake's Bible which is highly chosen among charismatic circles. Phineas Dake wrote this interpretation and so if you're not a fan, dismiss this blog, if you've never heard of it, look it up! It's an excellent study of the Word. If I were to sum up Genesis in two words it would be Family and Beautiful. I'll share later why I feel this way. Nuggets God showed me and stuff to chew on: The Sun is a representation of God and the Moon is a representation of Jesus because it reflects light. Man's Duty is to cultivate, preserve and keep. Creation was not complete without woman. God made woman SUITABLE to man meaning intellectually, morally, spiritually, and physically. From the beginning we've always had CHOICE. Pride cast Lucifer out of heaven. 1st war in history was caused by religion. 1st murder in history was caused by siblings. Cain was actually banned to what is now China. God felt sorry for creating man. Noah was the first to experience grace. It took three months for the water to recede from the flood. Because God gave man dominion over all the earth, all animals fear man. Abram ultimately caused a plague over Egypt because he doubted God. Hammurabi created the first laws of Babylon. Considered a Righteous King. Damascus was the capital of what is now Syria. Tithing occurred in Genesis. All throughout Genesis men followed the words of women and failed God. (Adam, Abram, Isaac) Even Ishmael received a blessing from God. God has a plan for every person on earth. Abraham loved Ishmael and was sad to see him leave. Curiosity killed Lot's wife. Silver back then was 64 cents a piece. The first healing recorded was barrenness. Isaac did not fight his father when he put him on the altar. Polygamy was tolerated in the Old Testament. Rape of Dinah Even family will try to stop what God has birthed in your heart sometimes. Envy breeds. It is still law today in the eastern culture for a brother to marry his sister-in-law if she becomes a widow to carry on his brother's name. Passion and desire overcome reason and prudence. Joseph was sold for $12.00 into slavery. Joseph respected Egyptian authority and was given authority as a Hebrew. The angels that were cast out of heaven along with Lucifer created a new breed when they became one with women on Earth. This created a race of giants. It is said, that these giants and their race of people is where Greek mythology stemmed from. The scriptures say that their children became well-known for ages. I chose family because through all of the scriptures God mentions the line and heritage of where everyone comes from. He makes it a point to let you know each family's name, also for the reason of knowing where the Messiah eventually will come but, that showed me it's important to God for you to know who your parents are and where you come from and the blessings that have been brought down through right standing with God. Family also is important to God because he didn't HAVE to make Eve but, he did because he didn't like seeing Adam alone. Marriage pleases God. And through marriage you create family. Beautiful sums up the part of Genesis relating to Creation. God clearly has to be the most beautiful thing in the universe if with his own creative mind he created the moon, starts, planets, and galaxies for us to marvel. It proves to me even more that the artistic "gene" so call it, isn't a gene at all, it's God in us. He is the ultimate artist and every creative thing we birth is his creative image working in us. He is beautiful Creator. Questions I still have and I would absolutely love to hear perspectives, teachings and discussions about: 1) Pre-Adamite World 2) Dispensation of Angels 3) Lucifer's Flood ? 4) What is the firmament? 5) Why did God say let US make man? 6) How long was the flood? How long was Noah in the ark is the better question. 7) Did Sarah know why Abraham left with Isaac the day he was to sacrifice him? 8) When it says God appeared, what translation do you take from this? Physically? 9) Who was Pharoah at the time of Potiphar?
